The colourful zigzag pattern adds a playful touch to this vintage Azilal runner. It has a cream base with a long pile and a nice fluffy feel. It also features brown, azul and blue. It’s in excellent vintage condition.
Azilal rugs are usually quite vibrant, colourful, and are always in the mood to make a statement.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
