Meet Zamani, this vintage Beni Mguild is a truly unique piece. She has a warm base in variations of red and orange, with beautiful gradations ranging to bordeaux and copper, a hint of purple, and hidden patterns in soft blue and soft turquoise. She has a plush and extremely soft feel. It’s a luxurious vintage statement piece with an extraordinary use of colour.
The Beni Mguild tribe is located in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Beni Mguild rugs come in many background colours. Their rugs tend to be plush, to provide warmth and comfort during the winter months.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
Please note | Vintage items may show slight signs of wear or fading. These are a part of each items’ unique history and add to its authenticity and character. Anything of note is included in the listing and pictures. All rugs are cleaned and if needed repaired before leaving Morocco.
Please do not hesitate to ask for more details on a specific rug.
