This vintage Boujaad runner combines various soft pink tones with cream and brown. It has a short pile and is in good vintage condition. The coloured cotton base comes peeping through, which is typical for vintage Boujaad rugs. It's a great fit for the hallway or kitchen.
Boujaad is a larger widespread area and not a specific tribe. Boujaad rugs are typically known for their use of geometric patterns and often feature different colours from natural dyes. They are woven by a number of tribes so they can display varying techniques and styles.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
Please note | Vintage items may show slight signs of wear or fading. These are a part of each items’ unique history and add to its authenticity and character. Anything of note is included in the listing and pictures. All rugs are cleaned and if needed repaired before leaving Morocco.
Please do not hesitate to ask for more details on a specific rug.
