Meet Sanae, this vintage Boujaad with beautiful colour gradations. She features variations of mustard, beige, soft terracotta and ochre tones that form a very subtle pattern, almost like a painting. She has a short and dense pile and is in excellent condition. This large width is rare in vintage rugs, making it highly sought after.
Vintage Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use and often handed down from generation to generation. The design and colours are a combination of traditional Amazigh symbolism with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. This level of craftsmanship could take up to months to complete a single rug. Each rug is completely unique.
Note | Vintage pieces may show some signs of wear or fading. This is part of each items’ unique history and adds to its authenticity and character. Anything of note is included in the listing and pictures. All rugs are cleaned and if needed repaired before leaving Morocco.
Please do not hesitate to ask for more details on a specific rug.
