This vintage Azilal runner is the perfect statement piece. It features purple, red, black and brown on a creamy base. It’s a bold yet balanced combination. Notice the difference in pile length between the base and symbols. It’s in great vintage condition.
Azilal rugs are usually quite vibrant, colourful, and are always in the mood to make a bold statement.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
