Meet Meddur, which means ‘Alive’ in Berber. And oh boy, this vintage Azilal runner does celebrate being alive! It has an ivory cream base with cheerful use of red, orange, pink, yellow, blue, green and black. It has a nice thick and fluffy feel. This bold piece would fit well in front of a white cabinet or closet, or it can add some colour to your hallway. Vintage furniture is also a good match.
Azilal rugs are usually quite vibrant, colourful, and are always in the mood to make a bold statement.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
