Lunja has a soft peach base with symbols in pink, turquoise, hints of white and dark brown for contrast. She has a short pile and is in excellent vintage condition. Notice the typical sawtooth borders that characterize the design of the Rehamna tribe. It's a sophisticated statement piece that will easily complement a variety of interior styles.
Rehamna rugs can be recognized by their sawtooth reinforcement on the sides of the rug. These are made of goat hair and give away that you’re looking at a real Rehamna. Vintage pieces are rare.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
