Meet Illi, this vintage Azilal runner with subtle use of colour. The cream base is beautifully complemented with brown, turquoise and variations of soft pink. It has a shorter pile.
Azilal rugs are usually quite vibrant, colourful, and are always in the mood to make a statement.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
