This vintage Beni Mguild is a unique find. It features soft purple, orange and green tones. A rare colour combination that you don’t get to see very often. It has such a luxurious and contemporary vibe, a timeless piece that will fit well in a wide range of interiors. It’s in excellent vintage condition.
The Beni Mguild tribe is located in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Beni Mguild rugs come in many background colours. Their rugs tend to be plush, to provide warmth and comfort during the winter months.
Moroccan rugs were initially made for personal use. They were meant to last for decades and often handed down from generation to generation. This level of craftmanship could take up to weeks or even months to complete a single rug. The design is a combination of traditional Amazigh symbols with the interpretation and imagination of the weaver. Every piece is unique.
