For our new made rugs we actively strive to work together with ethically managed cooperatives. Meaning we have visited the place, talked to the weavers, seen the working conditions and absorbed the overall atmosphere. This way we are sure the artisans are well treated and receive an honest pay for their hard work.

Where we can't trace the new rug back to the maker, we donate 5% of proceeds to the High Atlas Foundation. They run all kinds of projects to support small villages in Morocco, ranging from empowering women, to providing clean drinking water, to promoting organic agriculture, to enabling youth development. It's often in these small villages that people also weave rugs for a living, so this way we can indirectly give back to the communities who made them.

Vintage rugs are inherently ethical since they were made for personal use and not for commercialisation.

Doing business with respect for people is something we feel good about. And we hope you do too.
Together we're putting authentic craftsmanship in the center, right where it belongs.
